The groundbreaking live broadcast of WitzEnd Productions’ off-Broadway musical “Daddy Long Legs” shattered expectations. It was watched by more than 150,000 people in 135 countries, according to figures compiled by the show.
The show was also watched in as far off locales as Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Fiji and Syria.
“Ninety-nine percent of them want more streaming in the future, 82 percent said they’d pay for it,” Producer Ken Davenport said in a phone interview. “It just says how much people are so passionate about this happening for more shows.”
